Rose B. DiCicco, age 97, of Concord, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014.
She was born in Cleveland, April 9, 1917, the daughter of Carmelo and Josephine Valenti.
Rose was proud resident of Collinwood for 60 years. She worked various secretarial jobs throughout her life. Rose was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosis causing her to retire early from the Collinwood Clinic. After her husband's death, Rose moved in with her son's family, in Concord, for 46 years. She loved handcrafts, including knitting, and crocheting.
She was involved with the Cleveland Sight Center Crafts Division for 32 years. For the last four years of her life Rose was a very loved client of the Senior Independence Daycare in Painesville. She was a proud and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be greatly missed by many.
Rose is survived by her loving family; her son, Michael (Judith) DiCicco; her loving grandchildren, Rose, Michael (Anna), and Anthony (Annie Miles) DiCicco; and her great-grandchild, Brianna DiCicco.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael DiCicco; her parents; and her siblings, Nicholas Valenti, Carmela Molly Valenti and Mary Valenti.
A Funeral Service will be held at 9 a.m. Monday June 23, 2014, at the Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Private family burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery.
Private Visitation will be Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. also at the funeral home.
