Shirley Ann Heintzelman, 78, of Simsbury, Conn., passed away peacefully Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013.
Ms. Heintzelman was born Aug. 30, 1934, in Mt. Sterling, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Freda Kennedy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Kim Heintzelman, of Delaware, Ohio; and sister, Charlene Endres of Mt. Sterling.
She is survived by her daughter, Lori Heintzelman (Peter) Gailey of Simsbury, Conn.; son, Stephen (Anita) Heintzelman of Findlay; daughter-in-law, Margee Heintzelman of Delaware, Ohio; and brothers, John (Rose) Kennedy and Raymond (Rosie) Kennedy, both of Mt. Sterling.
Shirley was blessed with six grandchildren, Nathan (Emily) Heintzelman, Jessica (Seth) Sterrett, Nina and Amanda Heintzelman, and Emma and Hannah Gailey; and two great-grandchildren, Tommy Heintzelman and Bryn Sterrett.
Shirley, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, will always be remembered by those who knew her, for her tireless work as a registered nurse in Ohio and for the easy grace she willingly shared with everyone who gave her the chance and the long trail of laughter, which followed her everywhere. Shirley will be forever in our thoughts and we will be forever in her debt.
