Thomas J. Krebs(1936 - 2014)

Thomas J. Krebs, 78, of Auburn, and formerly of Chesterland, passed away Jan. 20, 2014, at home.
He was born Jan. 12, 1936. For the last 24 years, Thomas lived in Auburn and was a member of Holy Angels Church during those years. He attended Xavier University on a full football scholarship from Cathedral Latin High School and was a sports enthusiast with his favorites including following his children's and grandchildren's sporting events and the Cleveland Indians. He also had a love for following the stock market. He owned and operated Krebs Insurance Agency for 42 years. After his retirement, Tom loved to work on his 42 acre farm and planted a fruit orchard there. Tom will be remembered as a quiet man. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family.
Survivors are his wife, Patricia (nee Fasciano); sons, Scott (Margaret) and Braden (Julie); daughters, Kelli Conley (Terence), Kimberly (Cherny) Adams (William), Kasey Krebs and Kristen Brotzki (Peter); grandchildren, Kent, Tate, Tera, Brennan, Dana, Garrett, Quinn, Christopher, Aaron, Jonathan and Brett; and great-grandchild, Grayson; brother, Richard (Rita); sister, Elaine Reilly (James); and dear brother-in-law, uncle, and friend of many.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday Jan. 24, 2014, at Church of the Holy Angels, 18205 Chillicothe Road (Rt. 306) Bainbridge.
Visitation is from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at DeJohn-Flynn-Mylott Funeral Home of Willoughby Hills, 28890 Chardon Road (between Bishop Road and Rt. 91) and at the Church of the Holy Angels, Friday at 10 a.m. until time of Mass. Cremation following the Mass by DeJohn Crematory.
In lieu of flowers, family suggests contributions may be made in Tom's memory to Church of the Holy Angels or Hospice of the Wesern Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
