Truman E. "Bill" Roberts, 73, a United States Air Force
veteran, and a resident of Mentor for the past 47 years, died Saturday, March 8, 2014, at Tri-Point Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born July 14, 1940, in Pine Bank, Penn., to the late Carl L. and Virginia (Reeves) Roberts.
Bill was a graduate of Euclid High School, class of 1959. He served in the United States Air Force from 1959 to 1967. He was a mechanic for Zaller Brothers for 35 years. He was a Boy Scout Leader for Troop #183 in Mentor. He was an avid hunter for most of his life and he was everyone's friend. Since the age of 16 enjoyed working on cars and fixing things.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Judith A. (Riser) Roberts; son, Timothy E. (Anna) Roberts of Mentor; daughters, Amy ("Kip") Martin of Madison, Kelly (Jeffrey) Davis of Saybrook; grandchildren, Khrystle and Amanda Roberts, Zackary and Samantha Martin, Jeff and John Davis; brother, Ronald (Cathy) Roberts of Mentor; and sisters, Penny and Barbara.
The family will receive friends from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday, March 16th, at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor, OH 44060. In his honor, everyone attending the visitation please wear casual clothes.
The memorial service will be 5:30 p.m. Sunday, at the funeral home.
