Darrell Brainard Obituary
Born July 11, 1942, in Painesville, he was the son of Kathryn (Conklin) and Clyde Brainard.
He married Carol A. Peet on Jan. 24, 1986. He graduated from University of Miami in Florida, was a member of the Madison/Perry Chamber of Commerce, and Perry First Baptist Church. Most of all, Darrell was a devoted husband and loving father who cherished the time he spent with family.
Darrell established Lake County Tax Service and served many clients over the years.
Survivors are his wife of 26 years, Carol A. Brainard of Perry; children, Amy (Henry) Dugie of Houston, Texas, Julie (Marc) Nalow of Madison, Carolyn Senecal of Ashtabula, Cynthia (David) DeCola of North Kingsville, Cheri DeAngelis of Ashtabula and Caryn Senecal of Ashtabula; 17 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; siblings, Clyde (Delores) Brainard of Perry, Marjorie (Foster) Miller of Perry, Kathryn McManus of Mentor, Carol (Ivan) Miller of Perry, Larry (Dean) Brainard of Perry and Keith (Molly) Brainard of Madison; brothers-in-law, Anthony Peet of Maple Heights, Donnie (Sally) Peet of Ashtabula and Denny Evans of Geneva; mother-in-law, Elvera Peet of Ashtabula; and many special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Evans; brother-in-law, Robert ""Bob"" McManus; sister-in-law, Rosa Mary Peet; father-in-law, Anthony Peet Sr.; and nephew, Craig Deakins.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2012, at The Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River St., Madison, OH 44057.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 3918 Main St., Perry, OH 44081.
Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Thursday before the service at the church. Final resting place will be at Perry Cemetery.

My husband and I were fortunate enough to meet Darrell and Carol a couple of weeks ago when we were referred to Lake County Tax Service by a friend. Momma i am so sorry for darrell s leaving . It hurts to stand by and watch you grieve for the man you loved for 26 years . My only consolation is knowing he didn't suffer. You were his nightingale. His angel.his one and only. Its you i know pray that you come to find peace and fulfillment even in the adversity of his passing. You now carry with you his light caring and love.
