I played basketball at Westlake D.C. with JB every Tuesday night in late 80's to mid 90's with JB and marvelled at this "old man" who would crash the boards with elbows at the ready and an unorthodox but deadly 3 point shot. JB was an inspiration to me then and will be 'til I'm rebounding in heaven.Excellent job JB!!!!!

I'm saddened by Mr. Basilone's passing and extend my condolences to his family and loved ones. While attending Memorial School from grades 4 through 6, I worked in the main office every morning, helping "Mr. B" and the school secretary fill teachers' classroom supply orders and other admin to-do's. He instilled a professional sense of style, sensitivity and fairness that I carry to this day. Usually delivering it with a sense of humor that made every day much lighter for a young boy of 10. Thank you, Mr. B. for the lunches, hospital visits, 6th & 12th grade graduation parties, so many many things. You've never been forgotten, and never will be!
