Marlene Hogya Obituary
A Painesville resident, Marlene was born on Sept. 11, 1938 in Fairport Harbor. She passed away on March 5, 2014 at Chardon Health Care Center.
She graduated from Fairport Harding High School, Class of 1956. She was a member of the Harvey High School Athletic Boosters Club and enjoyed crafts and spending time with her family.
Mrs. Hogya retired in 2008 from the Painesville City Schools where she was the manager of the cafeteria at Hobart Middle School for 30 years.
She is survived by her sons, Mark (Susan) Hogya of Lakewood, Philip (Kim) Hogya of Painesville; Daughters,
Julie (Joe) Caine of Painesville, Chris (Ken) Znidarsic of Euclid; Sisters, her twin sister Marilyn (Jim) Sulzbach of Madison, and Marcia (John) Demko of Hiawassee, Ga.; grandchildren, Taylor, Sara, Zachary, and Megan Hogya,
Peter and Melissa Swan, Jon and Gina Ciariello, Katelynn and Mickayla Caine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Margaret (Palagyi) Miller; and
brother, Michael Miller.

I am so sorry Chrissy. I know the pain you all are going through. Your mom was like a mom to me. She fed me breakfast on my way to school, those good English muffins. I will miss her. I'll keep you all in my prayers. God bless you and keep you in his care. Love you all

To having the best childhood memories.....
From letting us Demko girls and your daughter (cousin Julie) slide down your stairs in sleeping bags!! :)
And the beautiful homemade presents you and Aunt Marilyn would always send us!! We still have some to this day.
