Wayne Powell Obituary

Wayne Dale Powell, 65, of Concord Township, passed away June 3, 2011, in Panama City, Fla.
He was born Aug. 15, 1945, in Euclid.
He served with the U.S. Navy in Vietmam as an airplane mechanic. He was an accomplished artist and also enjoyed golfing and fishing.
Wayne was a retired yard conductor for CSX Railroad, Cleveland.
He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by wife, Judith (Seaman) Powell, whom he married on Oct. 7, 1967; son, Matthew (Jessica) Powell of Willoughby; daughter, Christine (Donald) Morgan of Panama City, Fla.; brothers, Darren Powell of Mentor and Dean Powell of Cleveland; and three granddaughters, Emily, Hannah and Paige.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William D. and Frances (Doles) Powell; and brother, William D. Powell in 2003.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m., Saturday at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 7575 Bellflower Road, Mentor.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Painesville.
Contributions will be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202
