Ruth Lamm Obituary
Mrs. Lamm passed away May 15, 2011, due to the effects of acute Leukemia. Her loving family and sister were at her side.
Born May 12, 1935, in East Cleveland, she had lived in Ashtabula during her formative years and was the first dental assistant to work for Dr. Robert Crombie DDS. After marrying the love of her life Francis D. Lamm May 7, 1960, they moved to Wickliffe, where they had resided for the past 51 years.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel church for over 43 years as a Lay Minister, Pre-Cana team leader and festival worker. She was also involved in World-wide Marriage Encounter, Wickliffe K of C Isabella Guild and the Red Hat Society. In 2003, she and her husband joined St. Felicitis Church (now St. John of the Cross), where she enjoyed being a Minister of Welcome.
For a number of years, Ruth worked at J.C. Penny, Dillards and the May Company at Great Lakes Mall.
She especially enjoyed going to garage and mall side-walk sales to find bargains for her grandchildren and to donate to various church and local charities.
Ruth was the devoted mother of Janice (Jamie) Lombardo of Wickliffe, Gregory (Michelle) Lamm of Wickliffe, Carol (Scott) Malone of Eastlake and Gary (Christa) Lamm of Goose Creek, S.C.; dearest sister of Irene Bottinelli; and grandmother to seven loving grandchildren.
She was the devoted daughter of the late Lelio and Anna (Sylvester) Bottinelli.
Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18, 2011, at the Orlando-Donsante Funeral Home, 29550 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Burial will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
Family suggests contributions be made to the Gathering Place, 23300 Commerce Park, Beachwood, OH 44122.
