Roland "Bud" Prehn

Death is a time for celebration! It's a time to celebrate the life of our dear loved one and the memories we shared together.
Roland ""Bud"" Prehn, 84, of Madison, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011, at Rae Ann Nursing Facility in Geneva.
Born August 29, 1926, in Thompson, he was the son of Ralph H. and Bette (Wolfe) Prehn.
He married Betty J. Barney on Dec. 14, 1991, in Thompson.
Bud served in the US Army during World War II and was a member of the American Legion Post 112. He was also a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and the Eagles in Geneva. Bud enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and always enjoyed time spent with family and friends and telling stories from the past.
He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Madison; son, Clifford (Paula) Prehn of Geneva; daughter, Karen (Mary Lorenz) Ford of Seattle, Wash.; son, Dale (Rebecca) Prehn of Las Vegas; step daughters: Cindy (Michael) Torok of Madison, and Charlotte (Elmer) Gibson of Kingsport, Tenn.; step sons; Brad (Shelia) Constable of Loganville, Georg., and Danny (Pat) Constable of Lawrenceville, Georg.; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn McGuire, of Williston, Fla.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Norma, who passed away in 1990; son, Douglas; his parents; brothers, Louis, Ernest, Donald, and Russell; and sisters, Nina and Charlotte.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. on Monday, June 13, 2011, at the funeral home. Pastor Don McCauley of New Beginnings Christian Fellowship in Mentor will officiate the service. Final resting place will be at Madison Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 12, 2011, at The Behm Family Funeral Home & Crematory, 26 River St, Madison, OH 44057.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
