Eugene McGuire Obituary

Funeral Mass for Eugene D. McGuire 86, of Eastlake will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 10 at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 460 E. 321 Street, Willowick.
Mr. Eugene D. McGuire passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2011 at Hospice House of The Western Reserve, Cleveland.
Born Aug. 6, 1924 in Latrobe, Pa., he was a Lake County resident for 58 years, living in Eastlake.
He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Germany during World War II; A member of Willoughby Knights of Columbus Third Degree Council 2886, Past Grand Knight; and a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church. In his leisure time, he enjoyed and loved to fish.
He was a retired T.R.W. employee, working for over 30 years in the Aircraft Division.
He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth R. (Tandaric) McGuire for 64 years; The loving father of Jean McGuire Yamber (Frank), Bedford Heights; Also, survived by sister Catherine Nelson of Parma Heights; He was also the cherished grandfather of Erica M. Yamber; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, the John and Rose (Fern) McGuire; daughter Joan McGuire; and was the brother of Frank, Harry, Marie Downs, Edward, Cecelila Burlas, John, Bert, Louis, Charles, Rosemary and Raymond.
Friends may call from 2 to 4p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Twp, Ohio.
Family suggests donations be made in his name to Hospice House of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, Ohio 44119.
