Harold Arndt Obituary
Mr. Arndt passed away Sunday, May 8, 2011, at Golden Living Center Western Reserve in Kirtland.
Born Jan. 11, 1920, in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident for 23 years, living in Mentor-on-the-Lake.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, serving during World War II.
Mr. Arndt retired from Reliance Electric.
He was the beloved husband of 66 years to Mary B. (Bour) Arndt; loving father of Carol M. (James "Bill") Maxwell of Willoughby Hills, James W. (Evelyn) Arndt of Willowick, Richard J. (Cheryl) Arndt of Avon Park, Fla., Janet M. (Mark) Dannemiller of Willoughby, Patty R. (Frank) Jackson of Mentor and Raymond H. (Karen) Arndt of Mentor; grandfather of 12; great-grandfather of 10; brother of June Bour of Kirtland; brother-in-law, of Florence Arndt of Kirtland; and uncle of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Rose (Hildenbrand) Arndt; siblings, Adele Arndt and William Arndt; and brother-in-law, John Bour.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St., (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor. Father Tim Plavac will officiate the Mass. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
In addition to flowers, donations in his name may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119, or Golden Living Center, 9685 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland, Oh 44094.

I will miss Uncle Harry. What a great guy and a great attitude about life. I am very happy I was able to see him a few weeks ago. I am thinking of all the happy times we had together.
