Michael Yeager Obituary
Born Dec. 1, 1951, in Kalamazoo, Mich., he had lived in Auburn Township since 1984.
Michael was a registered nurse with the Cleveland Clinic in the Cardiac Surgery Department for 34 years. He worked for the heart failure and transplant unit.
Michael married Mary (Hinga) April 8, 1983, in Chester Township. He was an operating room technician in the U.S. Airforce and enjoyed fishing and working on his farm.
Survivors are his wife, Mary of Auburn Township; son, Kenneth Yeager of Auburn Township; daughters, Courtney Yeager of Columbus and Stacey Yeager; parents, Jack and Patricia Yeager of Montague, Mich.; brothers, Jeff and Chris; and sister, Linda.
A gathering will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011, at his residence, 12275 Stafford Road, Auburn Township.
Contributions are suggested to Helping Heart Fund, Cleveland Clinic Transplant Center, P.O. Box 931517, Cleveland, OH 44193-1655.
Arrangements are being handled by The Burr Funeral Home and Cremation Service.

To the Yeager family,
During my darkest days and hours prior to my life saving heart transplant Michael spoke with both my wife and son numerous times. They never forgot his kindness and his assistance.

Mary and family,
I cannot even tell you how much I learned from Mike. I am so grateful to have had him train me at the Cleveland Clinic working for the the Open Heart Surgery Department!!!!! He was such a dedicated person to his work. Teamwork was at the top of his list to provide excellent patient care. Many people are alive today because of his quick actions and dedication.
God bless him and his family during this difficult time.
