Larry and I worked together when I was with Geauga County EMA, I am deeply sorrowed by his passing. I had the deepest respect for him and valued him as a colleague and I counted him as one of my friends. When I chose to take a job in Californa as an emergency manager Larry was there to support me in my new adventure. I will miss him deeply. To his family, I am so sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayes are will you all at this difficult time.

Uncle Larry was the rock of our entire family. I looked up to him my whole life and was always so proud of him. He was my go to for career advice or whenever I needed some encouragement. Not only did he have such amazing accomplishments throughout his career, he and Aunt Pat raised 3 wonderful kids. We had so many great times together at "Bopa's house" eating good food and singing old Merle Haggard songs. He loved his family so fiercely and we will never be the same without him. The comfort I have right now is that I know he is in the arms of our Lord Jesus. I can't wait to see him again in heaven.

My deepest condolences and most profound sympathy to the Greene family. Larry was not only a friend and colleague, but simply put, he was the very definition of a gentlemen, public servant, a class act in every sense. His impact upon Lake County will always be cherished and appreciated.

I went to Lakeland Comm College with Larry and the the Basic Police Academy where is was head of our 1972 class. Later he let me stay at his apt in the Miami area to test for the Dade County SO where he was a deputy. Larry was a class act wherever he went, from Lakeland to LCSO, to Dade County SO, and back home at the LCSO and finally the head of the Lake Co. Emergency Management Agency. One of the best people I ever met in law enforcement. Rest In Peace my friend.

Larry was an extraordinary leader. He was my boss at Central and took a chance on hiring me, knowing I had additional goals. He was always smiling, always asked his employees how they were doing and was always up for a laugh. Rest peacefully Sir.

Larry was a gentleman and an incredible professional and I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with him when I worked for the Ohio Emergency Management Agency.
Larry helped to keep Lake County prepared and was an incredible public servant. The world is better for his leadership, service and presence in it and his legacy and example lives on in those whose lives he touched.
May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
