Ralph Pettifer Obituary
Mr. Pettifer was a lifelong resident of Lake County and graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. He was employed by the Cleveland Stadium, The Cleveland Raquet Club and the Cleveland Yacht Club during his career as a chef.
He enjoyed time with his family and beloved dog.
Survivors include his son, Bennie (Amy); daughter, Alice Pettifer; sister, Susi (Tim) Mathis; brother, Rick (Theresa) Pettifer; grandchildren, Bryan Peterson, Caylin, Emma, Bennie and Joseph Pettifer; nephews, Shawn and Steve Pettifer; nieces, Tami (Tiger) Harpster, Melissa (Jim) Altman, Kimi (Dan) Cole and Sarah Pettifer; great-nephews, T.J. Altman and Andrew Cole; and great-nieces, Brittani, Courtni and Stephani Harpster, Kara and Kaitlin Altman and Tori Cole.
He was preceded by a brother, Harry; and parents, Ralph and Jeanne Pettifer.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Willoughby Memorial Gardens, 38650 Lakeshore Blvd., Willoughby.
Contributions may be made in care of the family.
