So glad I got to meet Jean in the past 2 years. She was a wonderful woman with lots of talent and courage. I enjoyed seeing her historic home and listening to her play the piano and listening to her DVDs

Heaven will be hosting a Scott Joplin revival. We will miss her and her music. It's been a pleasure to be her neighbor. Jean and Paul brought much joy into our little community.

We at the Washboard Music Festival are sad to hear of Siter Jean's passing. For several years she, Laundry Fat, and after his death, their Grandson Kenan delighted our audiences with the joyous sound of ragtime music. Thank you to all of them, and God Bless all.
