Ross Johnson Obituary
H was born May 7, 1947, in Cleveland.
Mr. Johnson was a retired salesman from Mentor Lumber, where he worked for 30 years.
Ross was a member of Mentor Plains United Methodist Church in Mentor. He loved being a grandpa. Ross was a handyman and loved to play racquetball at Mentor Heisley Racquet Club and the former Back Wall in Mentor. He was a graduate of Mentor High School Class of 1966 and Lakeland Community College. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran.
Survivors are his wife of 39 years, Melanie S. (Jarrett) Johnson; children, Dawn (Mike Lewandowski) Johnson of Duanesburg, N.Y. and Ross A. (Heather Jewell) Johnson Jr. of Mentor; grandchildren, Ross Johnson III, Bryce, Tyler and "Baby Lewandowski"; and sisters, Gail (Ed) Lowe of Concord Township, Audrey (Ralph) Forrest of Orlando, Fla., and Amy Orasko of Elyria.
He was preceded in death by his father, Herbert Johnson; and mother, Rebecca Tanner.
Memorial services will be held 4:30 p.m. Friday at Brunner Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
Visitation will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the Hospice of the Western Reserve, 300 E. 185th St., Cleveland, OH 44119.

Though I knew you both for only a short time, whenever I saw you together, you both were always smiling. That's my image of the two of you, together.

My deepest sympathy to Melanie and family for your loss. I have so many fond and happy memories from years ago of 'Cedar Point', Niagara Falls weekends, bowling parties and the many Mentor Lumber picnics and parties we shared. Ross and Charlie "Barney" knew how to have a good time and make sure all others enjoyed themselves also. Melanie I know what you are going through and my thoughts are with you. See you soon.

Dear Melanie and family,
I was deeply saddened to receive the news today that Ross has passed away. He was like a big brother to me during the short time that we worked together at Mentor Lumber. I was honored that he agreed to be "the best man" at my wedding in 1980. I am very, very sorry for your loss. Ross was an amazing person who will be missed by everyone who was lucky enough to have known him.
