Arvo Peterson Obituary
He was born Sept. 17, 1930, in Painesville, to Martha (Peltoma) Peterson and Arvo Jerry Peterson.
Mr. Peterson was a 1949 graduate of Fairport Harbor High School. He served as a teacher at Orange Board of Education for 37 years, and also as a golf coach for 31 Seasons. He was inducted into Orange Schools Staff Hall of Fame from years 1953 to 1993.
Survivors are his wife of 60 years, Marilyn; children, Nena Schutte and Wayne (Penny) Peterson; and five grandchildren, Sarah Schutte, Mark Schutte, Rachel Schutte, Amanda Peterson and Hannah Peterson.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, at Stroud-Lawrence Funeral Home, 95 S. Franklin St., Chagrin Falls.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at the funeral home.

WAYNE WAS MY MOTHER'S FIRST COUSIN. THOUGH WE DID NOT SEE HIM AND HIS FAMILY OFTEN, HE WOULD ALWAYS MAKE IT A POINT TO ASK ME HOW I WAS DOING AND IF I COULD BEAT MY DAD ON THE GOLF COURSE. RIP

We always enjoyed visiting with Wayne and Marilyn at family events! We will miss sharing teaching experiences with Wayne. He was always so pleasant and seemed like a very happy person. We will sincerely miss him and wish the family our very sincere condolences. We love you all!!!!
