Cecilija Kuhar Obituary
Mrs. Kuhar was born Jan. 7, 1937, in Croatia and has lived in Willoughby Hills for the last 17 years.
She was the owner of Kuhar's Restaurant in Mentor and formerly of Euclid for 30 years.
Survivors are her husband, John "Ivan"; children, Ivan Kuhar Jr. and Josie (Daniel) Luketic; grandchildren, Nikola Kuhar (fiancee, Leighann Molenaar), Andrea Kuhar, Monika and Stephanie Luketic; brother, Stephan (Maria) Vrbanic; sister, Marija (Luka) Paradzik and their children David (Shannon) and Anamaria; brother-in-law, Milan Kuhar; and many, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Biserka; sisters, Marta Ostricki and Slavica Vrbanic; and brother, Josip Vrbanic.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2012, at St. Paul Croatian Church, 1369 E. 40th St., Cleveland. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Brickman Bros. Funeral Home, 37433 Euclid Ave., Willoughby.

I had to leave Ohio to persue better business opportunities in 1987, however,my memories of the Kuhar Family never left my side, EVER! Time and time again in my memory I picture Cecilija coming out of the kitchen into the dinning room at the Kuhars restaurant and their home in Geneva,Ohio. CECILIJA would come through the doors from the kitchen in her kitchenwhites wiping her hands. Always working hard from morning to night. Always a smile on her face. She was so proud of her Acre garden that she and Ivan worked every summer, by hand! All of those vegetables ended up on the salad buffett. The people in Geneva and the tourist who visited over the summer months never new how good they had it. Kuhars served real food. The family worked so hard to do it right and Cecilija was the Wife, the Mom, the Sister, The Aunt, The Cousin, but even better, the smiling gentle and generous lady that I have never forgotten. Ivan, John, Josie, Milan, celebrate her life. I wish I could be there with you. Love you all! Never forgotten from Phoenix, Arizona... Bobby, Ryan, Greg, Stephen and Charlene Freeman

I have fond memories of Kuhar's; a lot of Friday night Fish Dinners, and out of this world Schnitzel, provided with great service. I moved from Euclid in 2004, and Kuhar's was one of the things I truly missed!
