Clifford D. Chase Sr., 80, of Mentor, passed away peacefully with his family at his side Feb. 10, 2013, at Burton Health Care.

He was born Sept. 27, 1932, in Cleveland to Lauren and Emily Chase Sr.
Clifford served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Chase was a plumber for Local Union 55, until his retirement.
Clifford enjoyed fishing, horses, motorcycles, woodworking and fabricating things for anyone who needed something. His joy was spending time with his family; often time's family and friends would stop to talk with Mr. Chase when he was swinging in his swing in the side yard.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Ruth; children, Clifford (Heidi) Chase Jr., Cindy (Jim) Adie of Burton, Daniel Chase of Mentor; grandchildren, Clifford III (Shannon), Zackary (Kristin), Shannan (Jason), Ashley and Brittany; and great-grandchildren, Halle, Owen, Madelynn, Lila, Carter and Lucas.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Lauren Chase Jr.; and his parents.
A celebration of life will be held 5 p.m. Saturday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
