Edward T. Johnson Obituary
Edward T. Johnson, age 94, of Painesville Twp., died August 10, 2014, at Emeritus of Mentor.
He was born January 12, 1920, in Painesville, to the late Edward A. and Edith (Trall) Johnson.
He retired as Dean of Students at Riverside High School. He was a member of First Church, Congregational in Painesville, Past Master of Temple Lodge # 28 F&AM, Scottish Rite Valley of Cleveland, Past Patron of Urania Chapter # 284 O.E.S. in Painesville and Bahia Shrine of Orlando, Fla. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He later served in the Ohio National Guard.
Mr. Johnson is survived by his sons, Edward T. "Kurt" (Nancy) Johnson Jr. of Richland, Wash., Theodore C. of Painesville and Douglas (Kathleen) of Fairport Harbor; grandchildren, Wendy Frances of Richland, Wash., Ed Johnson of Battle Ground, Wash., Kurt Johnson of Olympia, Wash., Grant Johnson of Cambridge; and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jeannette Curtis Johnson, May 31, 2013; brother, Kenneth; and sister, Edith Haffey.
Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 22, (please note dates) at the Johnson Funeral Home, 368 Mentor Ave., (opposite Lake Erie College), Painesville.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 a.m. at First Church, Congregational on Saturday August 23.
