James J. Nolan Obituary
Funeral Mass for James J. Nolan, 89, of Euclid, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Jerome's Church, 15000 Lake Shore Blvd., Cleveland.
Mr. Nolan passed away Thursday, July 24, 2014, at Cleveland Veteran's Hospital in Cleveland.
Born April 15, 1925, in Cleveland, he had been a lifetime resident of Cuyahoga County.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, a member of St. Jerome's Church in Cleveland, Euclid V.F.W. Post 1056, Teamsters Local and a former member of the Northeast Yacht Club. Jim loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping.
Mr. Nolan retired from Conrail Railroad in 1990.
He was the beloved husband of 11 years to Patricia E. (nee Zupancic) Nolan; brother of Jack (Helen) Nolan, Pat Hoppert and Jerry (Joan) Nolan; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James J. and Rose Marie (nee Murphy) Nolan; siblings, Donna Mae Schilling, Peter Nolan, Robert Nolan and Bridget Rose "Del" Nolan; sister-in-law, Pat Nolan; and brothers-in-law, Bob Hoppert and Roy Schilling.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Graveside services will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Road, Rittman.
