Services for Jerry C. Neal, 82, of Willoughby, will be 4 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby.

Mr. Neal moved onto his eternal resting place May 2, 2012.
Born Sept. 27, 1929, in Willoughby, he lived there and then in Hudson for 28 years, returning to Willoughby in 1992.
He attended Willoughby United Methodist Church, Willoughby Lodge 302 and Euclid Lodge 599 F.&A.M., and was also a 50-year member of Al Koran Shrine, Valley of Cleveland, where he remained very active through the years. A part of his legacy was his competitive pistol shooting record. He earned the Ohio State Champion Title 13 times, along with many other titles and national records.
Mr. Neal was a draftsman and engineer with the former Terex Division of General Motors in Hudson, retiring in 1992.
He leaves behind "his girls," his beloved wife of 62 years, Phyllis (Hutmire) Neal; and daughters, Linda Konvalinka of Milford, Mass., and Janet (Ken) Smith of Humble, Texas. He also leaves his grandchildren, Justin Konvalinka, Carol (Peter) Connolly, Adam Konvalinka and Jon (Jennifer) Konvalinka, Eric (Jennifer) Smith and Neal Smith; and great-granddaughter, Arabella Konvalinka.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl Neal; his birth mother, Marjorie (Eddy) Neal; stepmother, Esther Neal; and sister, Virginia Hietanen.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Brethren and Friends of Euclid Lodge 599 F. & A.M. will conduct Masonic rites at 4 p.m. followed by the The Rev. Donald R. Perks of Willoughby United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Shriners' Hospitals Burn Unit, c/o Al Koran Shrine, 1000 East Edgerton Road, Broadview Heights, OH 44147, or Hospice of the Western Reserve Inc., 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
