John P. Pavsek Obituary
Funeral Mass for John P. Pavsek, 91, of Willowick, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick. Entombment will be in All Souls Cemetery.
Mr. Pavsek passed away Dec. 4, 2013, in Kirtland.
Born March 31, 1922, in Claridge, Pa., he had been a resident of Willowick for the past 62 years.
John was a veteran of U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church and former member of Immaculate Conception. A member of V.F.W. Post 3863 of Eastlake and American Legion Post 678 of Willowick, John enjoyed the Boulevard of 500 Flags. He loved woodworking, fishing, deer hunting and camping.
John had been employed by White Motors as a tech pilot mechanic. He retired after over 30 years of service.
Survivors are his loving children, Thomas J. (Laura Colon) and James P. (Michelle); grandchildren, Irene, Paul, David, Ryan, Shannon and Justin; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Stephanie M. (nee Kobilsek) in 2005; daughter, Joan M. Ostberg; parents, John and Mary (nee Turkar); and brother, Joe.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Jack Monreal-Coyne Funeral Home, corner of E. 320th and Vine streets, Willowick.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in John's memory to the Salvation Army or St. Jude's Hospital.
