Louis Chester Tomsic Obituary
Louis Chester Tomsic, of Eastlake, passed away peacefully at home, with his family by his side March 22, 2013, at the age of 70.
The service will be 7 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2013, at Monreal Funeral Home, located at 35400 Curtis Boulevard in Eastlake.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, with the memorial service following.
Louie was born in Cleveland on Sept. 29, 1942.
He was a graduate of North High School and served in the Marine Corps for two tours in Vietnam.
Louie worked at Picker International for more than 18 years, developing and manufacturing CAT scan and X-ray machines.
In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, golfing, taking family vacations to Canada and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed photography and driving out into nature in search of the perfect photograph.
Louie is survived by his wife of 41 years, Christine Tomsic, whom he married July 3, 1971. He leaves behind his daughter, Robin (Thomas) Kall and her children, Sidney (13), Turner (12) and Conner (9); his son, Paul (Courtney) Tomsic and child Tristan (8); and his brothers, Steve (Dee) Tomsic, and Carl (Sheila) Tomsic.
Louie was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Rose Tomsic; and his brother, Don Tomsic.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Hospice of the Western Reserve for their extraordinary care and support.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the and Hospice of the Western Reserve.
