Milton S. Durdella, 93, a U.S. Navy Veteran WWII, passed away Oct. 26, 2013, at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Newbury.
He was born July 1, 1920, in Baltimore, Md. and was a resident of Mayfield Heights.
Milton served on the USS Lake Champlain aircraft carrier and was an outstanding track athlete at East Tech. He enjoyed boating, camping, fishing and gardening.
He was employed by TRW as a general foreman for 42 years.
Survivors are his sons, Milton J. (Maria), Allan W. (Diane), Thomas E. (Cathie), Robert F., Terrance J. (Angela) and Michael J. (Phyllis); 16 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Wisniewski; and uncle and great-uncle to many.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (nee Fulton); brothers, Raymond and Edward, sister, Jo Ann Dombrowski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 a.m Thursday Oct. 31, 2013, at. St. Clare Church, 5659 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst.
Visiation will be Wednesday Oct. 30, 2013, at 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. at DiCicco & Sons Funeral Home, 5975 Mayfield Road, Mayfield Hts. (at Lander Road). Burial is at Whitehaven Memorial Park in Mayfield Village.
