Mass of Christian Burial for Dr. Mindaugas Fernand ""Mino"" Dautartas, 60, of Chester Township, will be 10 a.m. Friday, March 8, 2013, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 15519 Holmes Ave., Cleveland. Fr. Bernie McAniff will officiate the Mass. Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.

Dr. Dautartas passed away March 5, 2013, in Cleveland.
Born Oct. 5, 1952, in Cleveland, Dr. Mino was an inventor and had over 70 U.S. patents that contributed to making the Internet affordable today.
After attending St. Joseph High School and graduating from West Geauga High School, Dr. Mino earned a bachelor of science degree at the Ohio State University and his Ph.D. at the University of Minnesota. He worked for Lucent Techologies as part of Bell Labs.
Dr. Mino enjoyed traveling and listening to music from the 1960s and 1970s, particularly the Beatles, Santana and Jimi Hendrix. He was also a guitarist in his band, The PhDs. His family will remember him as creative, generous and an intellectual genius who enjoyed being an educator.
Survivors are his daughters, Angela M. and Jennifer; mother, Madeleine (nee Hamm); brothers, Peter (Joanne) and Vytas (fiancé Barbara Cunningham), both of Chester Township; sisters, Madeleine of Columbus; nieces and nephews, Shayla, Tavia, Gavin and Sheree Lynn; and great-niece, Liana.
He was preceded in death by his father, Zigmas.
Family will receive friends to pay tribute to and celebrate the life of Mino beginning at 9 a.m. Friday morning at the church.
Family suggests contributions may be made in Mino's memory to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave., Cleveland, OH 44110.
