Molly (Cohen) Levin Obituary
Molly Cohen Levin, of Naples, Fla., and Booth Bay Harbor, Maine, died peacefully Dec. 5, 2013, surrounded by her family.
Molly faced life with characteristic, practicality and a wonderful sense of humor. Her death at 72 was a journey filled with adventure, passionate interest, countless friendships and time with family whom she loved and adored and considered her greatest gift and legacy.
Molly was born May 24, 1941, to Allan "Al" and Esther Cohen in Beaver Falls, Pa. She grew up in East Liverpool, graduated from East Liverpool High School and later graduated from Ohio State University in speech science and received a master's degree from Lake Erie College in education. She taught speech and hearing in Dayton and Painesville, in later years at Hershey Montessori School in Concord.
Molly is survived by her husband, David of Naples, Fla., and Boothbay Harbor, Maine; son, Corey (Amy) Dubin of Gahanna; daughters, Jenny (Josh) Brisker of New Albany and Amy B. Dubin of Portland, Ore.; grandchildren, Isabella and Miranda DiPaolo, Joshua and Emily Dubin, Lex and Ava Levin and Shoshanna Bricker. She is also survived by her "second children", Stephanie (George) DiPaolo and Michael (Taya) Levin.
In addition to her parents, Molly was preceded in death by an infant brother.
At her request, remember to laugh and laugh some more, find new adventures every day and the glass is always half full as you take your journey through life.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013, at Berkowitz-Kumin-Bookatz Memorial Chapel, 1985 S. Taylor Road, Cleveland Heights. Interment will be at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Solon.
Family and friends will be received Sunday only, following the interment, at the Woodhawk Club Apartments clubhouse, 240 Fox Hollow Dr., Mayfield Heights.
Donations to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus (www.nationwidechildrens.org) or Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens Boothbay Harbor in Maine (www.mainegardens.org) would be greatly appreciated.
