Philip G. Hruska, 76, of Woodsfield, formerly of Cleveland, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, at the Ohio State University Ross Heart Center in Columbus.

Born April 29, 1937, in Cleveland, son of the late Elmer and Yolanda (Toth) Hruska, he was a retired construction manager for the former Ohio Bell Telephone Company in Lake County, a Catholic by faith and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tony Hruska.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Vargo Hruska whom he married Nov. 30, 1957; daughter, Kim (Jack) Drennan of Lakewood; son, Philip (Fion) Hruska of Mentor; five grandchildren, Derek, Faydra, and Ian Drennan, and Kevin and Faith Hruska; and three great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Monday at the Watters Funeral Home, 37501 State Route 78 West, Woodsfield, with the Rev. Fr. David Gaydosik officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Sylvester Catholic Cemetery, Woodsfield.
