Richard B. Meister Jr., 64, of Tucson, Ariz., passed away Aug. 27, 2013.
Born Nov. 5, 1948, in Cleveland, Richard went to Harvey High School in Painesville. He joined the Marines in 1967. He served his country in Vietnam with the 91st Marine Corps Division. He served proudly for seven years and was honorably discharged.
Richard worked as a deputy sheriff in Ashtabula County. He left there to move to Tucson, Ariz., where he worked with the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
Richard loved bowling and teaching it also.
Richard is survived by his brothers, Ron, Roger, Randy and Phil; and sisters, Marie and Rose. He also had 12 nephews; eight nieces; and quite a few "grand ones."
He is now awaiting the return with his parents, Richard and Martha; and sister, Peg Ellis.
Serviced will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 4, followed by a reception.
