Funeral Mass for Robert J. Mitchell, 90, of Willoughby, will be 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Church, 37940 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Fr. Michael Troha will officiate.

Mr. Mitchell passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Emeritus Senior Living in Willoughby.
Born March 20, 1922, in Cleveland, he had been a Lake County resident of 80 years, living in Willoughby.
He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran, serving during World War II, a member of Palmer-Roberts American Legion Post 214 in Willoughby, a member of the Willoughby and Cleveland Elks, a 1940 graduate of Willoughby Union and attended Mount Union College.
Mr. Mitchell worked for The Hamann Construction Company of Willoughby and was a member of Carpenter's Local 404, 95, and 435.
He was the loving father of Jeffrey (Carol) Mitchell of Willoughby, Stephen Mitchell of Willoughby, Susan (Bill Botirus) Mitchell and Patti (Larry) Johnson of Petaluma, Calif.; cherished grandfather of Wayne, Pam, Shawn, Beth, Michael, Kathy, Chris, Dave, Jamie, Mitchell and Kennedy; great-grandfather of Evan, Melinda, Anna, Jeffrey, Lauren, Claire, Charlie and James; brother of Jane Hartung Johnson; brother-in-law of Grace Hare Jones; and uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Evelyn G. "Ev" (nee Ginn) Mitchell. Bob and Ev met at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in North Carolina and were married April 21, 1944. He was also preceded in death by his parents, John and Beulah (nee Allen) Mitchell; and brother, John A. Mitchell.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Interment will be in Willoughby Cemetery.
