Robert M. Fumic, 65, of Mentor for the past 30 years and formerly of Wickliffe, died Monday July 15, 2013, at his son's home surrounded by his family.|
He was born Sept. 3, 1947, in Cleveland.
Robert was a sales manager for Fusion Inc. in Willoughby for 22 years until his retirement in 2012.
He was a member of St. Bede the Venerable Church in Mentor. Bob loved to watch his grandchildren's sporting events, enjoyed the family vacations to Walt Disney World, entertained himself with his computer and science fiction movies, and was a lifelong avid Cleveland Browns fan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Antoinette "Toni" (Panzarella) Fumic; children, Kevin (Chrissy) Fumic of Mentor and Tracy (Damien) Billow of Boston Heights; and grandchildren, Justin, Jordan and Joey Fumic.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Caroline (Plesic) Fumic.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Bede the Venerable Church, 9114 Lakeshore Blvd., Mentor. Please meet at the church.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be in Mentor Cemetery.
