Salvador Carrillo Obituary

Mass of Christian Burial for Salvador Carrillo, 95, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township.
Mr. Carrillo passed away Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2013, at Kemper House in Mentor.
He was born Dec. 24, 1917, in Durango, Mexico.
Sal worked for UPS for 40 years in Los Angeles, Calif., where he and his wife, Concha were residents for many years.
He was a paratrooper in the U.S. Army, serving during World War II, receiving two Purple Hearts. Salvador was a Grand Knight, member of All Saints Parish for 50 years in Los Angeles, Calif., a Scout master, an Eagle Scout and a member of the American Legion.
Survivors are his loving wife of 70 years, Concha Carrillo; grandson, Jeffrey (Jackie) Carrillo of Concord Township; granddaughter, Kathleen Moffett of Sacramento, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Catherine "GiGi" Carrillo, Dustin, and Jane Moffett; and sister, Emma Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his son, Salvador Carrillo Jr.; sisters, Hope and Ignancia; and brother, Gonzolo.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at The Potti Funeral Home, 1009 Mentor Ave., Painesville. Burial will be in Concord Cemetery.
