Albert J. Marinch

1923 - 2011

Albert J. Marinch, 88, of Willowick, passed away June 3, 2011, at Hospice House of Cleveland.
He was born May 28, 1923, in Gates, Pa. He had lived in Willowick for 52 years and was former resident of Cleveland.
Mr. Marinch was a member of S.N.P.J. Lodge Cleveland 126 serving as its president for over 19 years and a member of the S.N.P.J. Farm Board. He served on the Board of Directors of the Slovenian Workingmans Home, The Euclid Slovenian Pensioners and The Holmes Avenue Pensioners.
Gardening was his passion, and he enjoyed playing golf with his family and friends.
He worked as a foreman at Republic Structural Steel Co. for 38 years retiring in 1983.
Al was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will forever live in our hearts.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Grace (Kunsman); a daughter, Sharon (Gerald) Flyter; son Michael (Wi) of Texas; grandchildren Ryan Flyter, Renee Demirci, Rachel Marinch and Apolo Marinch; and step-granddaughter, Jolene (J.D) McAfosse; great-grandson, Berk Dermirci; brother, Rudy; and sisters, Mary Domovich, Frances Nowak and Gertrude Nosan. He was an uncle and great-uncle of many.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael; sisters, Emma Marinch, Anna Lesko and Janet Klaridge; brother-in-laws Paul Lesko, Martin Klaridge, Edmund Nowak and Ed Domovich; sister-in-laws, Elizabeth Marinch and Mildred Marinch.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 9, 2011, at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 460 E. 321st St., Willowick. Rev. Ronald Wearsch will officiate at the services.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Zele Funeral Home, 452 E. 152 St., Cleveland. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
