Alma Jean (Mach) Waldman, 87, passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Hillcrest Hospital.
Born July 9, 1925, in Bradley, she was a southern Ohio resident until moving to the Cleveland area in 1945.
A 49-year resident of Bainbridge, she is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, William; brother, James (Mary) Mach of Mentor; children, Christine Wagner of Dallas, Texas, Michele (Joe Bacon) of Kyle, Texas, Allen (Linda) Waldman of Burton and Elaine (David) Steehler of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bryant) Smalley, Richard (Michelle) Wagner, James Russell, Sarah Waldman, Brian (fiancee, Melissa) Waldman and Cory Waldman; and great-grandchildren, Jacob, Gabriel, Nicholas, Isabella, Colin and Beckett.
Mrs. Waldman was a volunteer at the Bainbridge Library for over 25 years, and was an active participant of many activities such as painting, the science forum and group exercise classes held at the Senior Center in Chagrin Falls. She loved to spend her free time doing crafts such as beading, knitting, crocheting and sewing, and helping anyone around her who needed a helping hand. She enjoyed making her family's favorite dishes, including tuna noodle casserole, German pancakes, fried potatoes with egg and all varieties of cookies.
Private services will be held for family only.
