Funeral Mass for Americo S. ""Rick"" Betori, 78, of Chardon, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at St. Mary Church, 315 North St., Chardon. Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
Mr. Betori passed away Oct. 19, 2013, at Hospice House in Cleveland.
Born Aug. 13, 1935, in Washington, Pa., he had been employed by the South Euclid-Lyndhurst School System for 35 years. He was a teacher, baseball coach and faculty manager at Brush High School.
Survivors are his wife, Carol (nee Oltmanns); daughter, Lisa (Michael) Lauria; sons, Richard (Julie), David and John (Theresa); grandchildren, Nicole, Domenic, Stefanie, Richard, James, Anthony, Joseph and Vincent; sister, Enrica Cardarelli; sister-in-law, Mary Betori and devoted uncle and friend to many.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents, Nazzareno and Eurdice; brother, Paul; and brother-in-law, Vincent Cardarelli.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Vitantonio-Previte Funeral Home, 5236 Mayfield Road, Lyndhurst.
