Anna Mae (Johnson) Yan, 85, of Mentor for the past 35 years and formerly of Wickliffe, died Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014, at Hospice House in Cleveland.
Born April 22, 1928, in Cleveland, Anna Mae was a homemaker. She enjoyed her bingo and was an avid Cleveland Indians fan.
Survivors include her children, Susan (Gary) Karp of Painesville, Linda (Tom) Abate of Mentor, Peter (Deborah) Yan Jr. of Elyria and Greg (Nancy) Yan of Mentor; grandchildren, Kim Karp, Kristin (Tony) Evola, Lori Ross, Bryan (Jennifer) Karp, Tom (Tracy) Abate, Brandon Abate, Peter Yan III, Erica, Connor and Natalie Yan; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Anna Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Peter P. Yan Sr.; parents, John and Gertrude Johnson; brothers, Robert, C. Gunnar and Jack Johnson; and sisters, Marie Riley and Katherine Cicirelli.
The funeral service will be 11 a.m. Monday at Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor. Interment will be at Mentor Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
