Bernice E. (Toy) Moberg Obituary
Services for Bernice E. (Toy) Moberg, 92, of Willoughby, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Ave., Willoughby. The Rev. Robert A. Gaston will officiate at the service.
Mrs. Moberg passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2013, at Madison Health Care.
Born Oct. 11, 1921, in Omaha, Neb., she has lived in Willoughby for the past 67 years.
She was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles, crafts, baby-sitting and making visits to see family in California.
Mrs. Moberg was employed at the former Bob's Diner in Willoughby, Angela's Pizza in Eastlake, Yummy Barbeque in Willoughby and then at Woolworth's in Warrensville Heights and Richmond Heights.
Survivors are her children, George Moberg of Willoughby, Connie (Michael) Gomes-Figueira of San Lorenzo, Calif., and James (Debbie) Moberg of Madison; grandchildren, Deborah (Jody) Lutz of Mount Lebanon, Pa., Dawn (Ron) Hogan of Painesville, Lisa (Todd) Stanley of San Lorenzo, Calif., Danielle (Todd) Schofield of American Canyon, Calif., Stephen (Jen) Gomes-Figueira of Oakley, Calif., Jennifer Moberg of Willoughby, Jason (fiancée, Jenn) Moberg of Madison and James Moberg of Madison; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Boldt of Omaha, Neb., and Phyllis McCawley of Ralston, Neb.; many nieces and nephews and their families; and her cat, Patches.
Her husband, Burdette ""Bud"" Moberg, passed away in 1969. Her parents, Arthur and Marion (Maldonado) Toy; siblings, Virginia, George, Arthur, Delores and Betty Jean; and daughter-in-law, Nancy, are also deceased.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013, at the funeral home. Private interment will be at Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages contributions to Crossroads Hospice, 9775 Rockside Road, Valley View, OH 44125.
