Blase A. Coraretti Obituary

Blasé A. Coraretti, 82, of Highland Heights, passed away July 10, 2013 at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.
He was born July 8, 1931, in Cleveland had lived in Cleveland Heights and Collinwood. He had been a Highland Heights resident for the past 36 years.
Mr. Corarelli was an active member of Holy Redeemer Church, where he was an acolyte, Eucharistic minister and worked very closely with Father Martin Polito as the leader of the Holy Redeemer four person delegations that dealt with the possible closing of a church in Holy Redeemer's cluster. He was a man of deep faith.
His work with Saint Vincent de Paul Society exemplified that fact that he was a man who always put others ahead of himself. He would annually help in the putting together of holiday baskets to be distributed at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
His enjoyment of life centered around his wife, whom he married on June 21, 1952, and family. The last twenty years produced fond memories of the two of them traveling; including their favorite spot on Marco Island, Florida where they could escape the cold Cleveland winters. Golf and bocce were activities he also enjoyed. He was affectionately known as ""Papa"" by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Blasé attended both John Carroll University and Lakeland Community College.
He had been employed by Reliance Electric on Tungsten Road for 34 years, retiring in 1997. He was Manager of the Reprographics Department doing internal printing.
After retirement, he did consulting work for Shamrock Companies of Cleveland in printing and graphic design. Also, working with J.B. Productions, Blasé was able to bring in entertainers like Frankie Avalon, Al Martino, Don Ho, Dick Contino and the Four Aces.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy (nee Fiorilli); daughters, Nanette (Harry III) Martin, Rosanne Bills (fiancé, Robert) and Karen (Thomas) Smoron; grandchildren, Andrea Marie Martin, Jonathan Blasé ( Colleen) Bills, Alicia Ann (Byron) McCroskey, Harry Frederick Blasé Martin IV(fiancee Gina), Natalie Rose Lynch and Alexandra Violet Lynch; great-grandchildren, Bianca Rose Martin-Iapaolo, Carson John Schilling, Brandon McCroskey, Trinity Marie McCroskey and Augusta Marie Bills; and nieces, nephews, cousins and their family members.
Mr. Coraretti was preceded in death by his parents, August and Pasqualina Rose Coraretti; sister, Josephine Tomaro; and brothers, Ronald Coraretti and infant brother.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Monday, July 15, 2013 at Holy Redeemer Church, 15712 Kipling Ave., Cleveland. (Please meet at Church.)
Interment is in All Souls Cemetery, Chardon Township.
