Carl A. Dodaro Jr., 76, of Willoughby, entered into rest on Sept. 14, 2013 at his home surrounded by family and loved ones.
Carl was born Jan. 20, 1937, in Cleveland. He lived in Willoughby for 61 years.
He was instrumental in the beginnings of youth football and baseball in the City of Willoughby. He worked for Victor R. Browning for 29 years and was president of the North Willoughby Civic Association. He also was very active in local politics and community affairs.
Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Wendy (Sansbury); 10 children, Carl A. (Janet), John G. (Karla, deceased), Albert J. (Margie), Sandi A. (Wally) Knapp, Joseph C. Carbone, Gina M. Carbone, David J., Jackie (Alex) Carbone, Rosamary D., Chuckie (Cammy) Carbone; grandchildren, Heather, David, Maria, Dominic, Chrissy, John Jr., Cody, Anthony, Angela, Walter, Nicole, Heather, Shelley, Rebecca, Brittany, Mikayla, Mika, Antonio, Alyssa, Lindsey, Amanda, Asia, Richie, Nicco, Keona; 30 great-grandchildren; brothers, Robert (Joann) and Edward (Jean); sister, Ruthie Maddy (Jim) and DeeDee Greenaway (Tom); and sisters-in-law, Ellen Jean and Patty. A special mention of Micheal Martiucci.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl A. Dodaro Sr., and Adeline R. (Brooks); and first wife, Rosamary (Eskins); and his brothers, Albert and Ronnie Dodaro.
There will be no funeral services, by his request.

Please join the family in a celebration of Carl's life, planned for Sept. 28, 2013, at the VFW hall at 38295 Pelton Road, Willoughby, beginning at 1 p.m.
