Funeral Mass for Doris M. Skinner, 64, of Mentor, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gabriel Church, 9925 Johnnycake Ridge Road, Concord Township. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Skinner passed away Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the Cleveland Clinic.
Born Nov. 24, 1948, in Albany, N.Y., she had been a Lake County resident for the past 20 years, living in Mentor. She had previously resided in Houston, Texas.
Doris was an accountant for Avery Dennison before retiring. She was a member of St. Gabriel Church in Concord Township and was a member of the bereavement committee.
Doris was the beloved wife of 33 years to Michael C. Skinner; loving mother of Erin E. Skinner; daughter of Isabel (nee Lebrecht) Myers; and sister of Maryanne (Edgar) Hernandez, Michael F. (Sandra) Myers and Catherine A. Myers. She also is survived by her nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Francis M. Myers; sister, Margaret F. Myers; and brother, Robert J. Myers.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 6330 Center St. (Route 615, north of Route 2), Mentor.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her name may be made to the Lake County Humane Society, 7564 Tyler Blvd., Mentor, OH 44060 or Life Banc, 4775 Richmond Road, Cleveland, OH 44128.
