Memorial services for Dorothy R. "Betty" Abbott, age 85, a resident of Painesville since 1950, will be 8 p.m. Monday at the Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Friends will be received from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Born Aug. 15, 1927, in Cleveland, she passed away Jan. 3, 2013, at Mentor Way Care Center in Mentor.
Betty enjoyed sewing and cooking for her family.
Survivors are her children, Gary (Deb) Abbott of Madison, Donald Abbott of Painesville Township, Barbara (Jerry) Osborne of Concord Township, William (Maria) Abbott of Ashtabula and Robert (Debbie Urban) Abbott Painesville; grandchildren, Jason, Melissa, Brian, Amanda and Myalee; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles J. Abbott March 18, 2011; parents, Frank and Dora (Andre) Funnell; brothers, Harry, Doug, Burt, Bob and Cork Funnell; and sister, Kate Eggleston.
