Edward J. Bucar, 86, passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013.
He was born Aug. 1, 1926, the son of Adam and Theresa (Bogobich) Bucar.
He served his country during World War II, in the U.S. Navy. On May 6, 1950, he married Emma Kascak.
He worked as a master printer for Curtis 1000 for over 30 years.
He was a talented musician, he played the upright bass for over 50 years. He was also a well-known polka DJ on AM 1330 Radio for 33 years.
He is survived by his loving family including his sons, Dennis J. (Deborah Davidson) and Dale E. (Kathy Hornung); and grandchildren, Brandon, Nicole and Nathan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; loving and devoted wife, Emma; sister, Mary Colson; brother, Joe Bucar; brother-in-law, Walt Colson; and sister-in-law, Eula Bucar.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Inurnment will follow at Knollwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
