Elizabeth D. "Betty" Blaha, 88, of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014.
Born June 16, 1925, in Pennsylvania, she was a longtime resident of Florence, Ala., before moving to Concord Township/ Painesville Township in 1970. She moved to Jacksonville, Fla., four months ago.
Mrs. Blaha was a homemaker. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Survivors are her children, Kathryn (William) Ehman of Orlando, Fla., Ellen (Richard) Porter of Jacksonville, Fla., Ann (Steve) Blue of Winona, Minn., and Richard J. (Jayne) Blaha of Perry; grandchildren, Christopher (Jennifer) Porter, Jennifer Porter, Kate (Fausto) Serrano, Ben (Cigi Stone) Ehman, Steven and Amanda Blue, and Emily, Meghan and Michael Blaha; and great-grandchildren, Landon, Brady, Sophia and Gabriel Serrano. She was also the sister of Joanne Ballway and Jeanne Delagrange; and sister-in-law of Ruth Urban.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Richard J. "Dick" Blaha; and parents, Charles and Irene Rapp.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Cyprian Catholic Church, 4223 Middle Ridge Road, Perry. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Brunner Sanden Deitrick Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8466 Mentor Ave., Mentor.
