Esther Dorothy Lustig, 93, of Thompson, passed away Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Blossom Hill Care Center in Huntsburg.
She was born April 24, 1920 in Thompson, and was the daughter of Bertha (Napp) & Fredrick Poburski.
She married Vincent Frank Lustig in Thompson on August 30,1941.
Dorothy enjoyed poetry and making greeting cards. Her other hobbies were gardening, growing and arranging flowers. Most of all she loved
being with her family. Dorothy was a Charter member of Thompson Garden Club and the Farm Bureau. She also was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Thompson.
She is survived by her sons, Vincent (Carol) Lustig of Charleston, WV, John (Irmgard) Lustig of East Liverpool, and Martin (Velma) Lustig of Thompson; grandchildren, Cheryl (Chris) Lang, Kathryn (Albert) Mongillo, Christine (Edgar) Ortiz, Michael (Kara) Lustig, Cindy Lustig, Ann Will,
James (Anne) Lustig, Sam Lustig, Martin (Karla) Lustig, Jessica (Tom) Bajzel; great grandchildren, Vincent and Jackson Lang, Iris, Penelope,
Coraline, and Sage Lustig, Savannah and Levi Will, Mason and Logan Lustig, Taylor Lustig, Chance Bajzel and Alex Mesarchik. She had many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends along with the loving, caring staff at Blossom Hill Care Center. Everyone loved her, and she loved everyone.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vincent Frank Lustig; parents; sisters, Emma Eagle and Pauline (Theodore) Steffens; brothers, Bill and Walter Polburn, Ed and Fred Poburski
Friends will be received 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, April 21, 2014 at the Behm Family Funeral Home, 26 River Street in Madison, Ohio. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, 16550 Rock Creek Road, Thompson, OH 44086. Final resting place will be Maple Grove Cemetery in Thompson.
