Mass of Christian Burial for Frank Leo Occhionero, 93, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Immaculate Conception Church in Willoughby.
Born May 14, 1920, in Cleveland, he moved to Lake County over 70 years ago. He passed away Feb. 21, 2014, at his residence.
Frank is survived by his wife of 66 years, Norma (Fatica); and sister-in-law, Constance Occhionero.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward, Leo and Emil; and sister, Agnes Hornyak.
Frank was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Gen. George Patton's 3rd Army, 744 Field Artillery Battalion. He retired from TRW in 1976, after 35 years of service.
Frank was an avid golfer, a world traveler and a great gardener. He was also a big fan of the Browns, Indians and Notre Dame.
Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
