Born May 31, 1948, in Tampa, Fla., he was raised in Clewiston, Fla., and accepted a scholarship to play football for Fairmont State College (West Virginia), where he was part of their national championship team in 1967.
He moved to Northeast Ohio, where he taught and coached several sports for the Painesville City and Mentor schools. He was also an entrepreneur, owning several companies throughout his life, including a sawmill and Baldree Sealcoating.
He leaves behind his mother, V. Frances Prince Deese; his loving wife of 20 years, Jo Ann M. Srnovrsnik Baldree; his two children, Angela T. Baldree and Patrick J. (Stephanie) Baldree; stepchildren, Jeff Phillips, Peter Phillips, Timothy Phillips and Stacey (Stephen) Macecevic; grandchildren, Patrick J. Baldree Jr., Joseph M. Baldree, Kyle and Kaylee Phillips, Justin Phillips, and Evan and Ayla Macecevic; sisters, E. Oveida (Paul) Shackelford and O. Gayle (Mike) Davis; brother, M. Micheal (Vicky) Baldree; mother-in-law, Margaret Srnovrsnik; brothers-in-law, Peter (Faye) Srnick and Paul (Karen) Sirnick; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his father, Aaron P. Baldree; and father-in-law, Peter Srnovrsnik.
Family will receive friends from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013, at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake, followed by a prayer service.
A celebration of Pat's life will be held Sunday, May 12, in Lake City, Fla.
