Gary A. Fish, 67, of Burton, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at UH Geauga Medical Center in Claridon Township.
He was born in Chardon on Aug. 23, 1946, the son of Burton and Mae Fish.
Gary graduated from Burton High School in 1964. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and was a jet engine mechanic until 1970.
Over the years, he worked at George Worthington Co., Middlefield Hardware and then at Great Lakes Cheese for many years until his retirement. He golfed for many years and also enjoyed going to Rice Lake in Canada to relax and fish with family.
Survivors are his beloved wife of 47 years, Bonnie (Wells) Fish; two sons, Brian (Denise) Fish of Middlefield and Jeff (Jen) Fish of Parkman; three grandchildren, Zach, Alex and Peyton; two brothers, David (Ronnie) Fish of Perrysburg and Kevin (Donna) Fish of Woodbridge; his sister Jane (Ed) Christian of Ashtabula; and his nieces and nephews.
A private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Seidman Cancer Center in UH Geauga Hospital or to the American Legion Post 459, P.O. Box 261, Burton, OH.
