Memorial services for Gerald E. Davidson, 68, of Kirtland, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Kirtland Community of Christ, 9017 Chillicothe Road, Kirtland.
Jerry passed away March 13, 2013 at his home.
Born Feb. 5, 1945, in Cleveland, he was a longtime Kirtland area resident and after some time away, he returned to Kirtland six years ago.
He was a graduate of Kirtland High School and the first paramedic training class at Richmond Heights General Hospital. He was also a member of Kirtland Community of Christ Church.
Jerry worked as a firefighter paramedic for the City of Kirtland, and then traveled cross-country as an over-the-road truck driver.
He is survived by his sister, Joan D. Tomasik of Kirtland; nephews, Gary (Lynn) of Ft. Myers, Fla., Larry (Amy) of Painesville, Tom, of Kirtland; niece, Linda (Ron) Crouse, of Kirtland; great-nephews, Chad of Lakewood and Ron Crouse Jr. of Kirtland; great-nieces, Stacy (Mark) Eppes and Courtney Crouse, both of Kirtland. He also leaves other extended family and many friends and his constant cat companion, Reggie.
His parents, Gerald T. and Mildred (Cartwright) Davidson, and brother-in-law, Louis Tomasik are deceased.
