Gerald H. Cook, 76, of Eastlake and previously of Willoughby, passed away peacefully March 12, 2012, at Hospice House in Cleveland.|
He was born Nov. 6, 1935, in Burton.
He served in the U.S. Navy during Korean Conflict. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 3863, American Legion Post 888 and Teamsters Local 407.
Mr. Cook retired from Environmental Pumping Services, was co-owner of Cooks Beverage in Eastlake and was a part-time bus driver for Willo Transportation. He loved fishing, golfing and traveling.
Survivors are his loving wife of 56 years, Janet; mother, Marian Cook; daughter, Jodi (Bob) Nethken; son, Gerald Cook; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Dina), Jessica and Travis Cook, Trevor, Sara and Troy Nethken; great-grandchildren, Eddie and Angelina; and sister, Judy Sutton. He was also the uncle to many.
He was preceded in death by his father, Horace Cook; son, Jeffrey Cook.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Burial will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens in Chester Township.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
